A  two-hour virtual gathering for ISV’s and Canadian channel players focused on how to excel in the new business normal. Join us for panels, presentations, and awards celebrating the channel’s most innovative organizations in the cloud.

The Channel Innovation Conference and Awards is a 2020 opportunity for celebration and advancement. It will honour the achievements of IT innovators who have developed pioneering products and services that are breaking new ground and winning in a crowded and disrupted market. The event’s panels and presentations will provide guidance on the top issues facing channel players.

Beginning July 6, 2020, Channel Daily News (CDN) is inviting ISV and solution innovators from across Canada to submit nominations for nine awards that showcase the amazing work done by a broad cross-section of new and evolving technology leaders serving the channel. 

The awards will be presented during a special two-hour virtual celebration on September 24, beginning at 1 pm (EST). Channel Innovation: Customer Experiences in the Cloud will take place on CIA-TV, a unique ITWC platform that allows the audience to take in the show, download related content, and videos, as well as network in live breakout rooms.

The deadline for submissions is Aug. 26, 2020

Why nominate?

Award recognition will bring attention that enhances your reputation, builds potential business opportunities, and solidifies your relationship with existing partners or customers.

You may submit a maximum of three award nominations. You may self-nominate for any award.  

The winning nominations will use a customer success story to demonstrate how a specific innovation or innovation program helped a partner solve a business problem, drive digital transformation, or evolve business value. The identity of the partner remains confidential unless otherwise stipulated. Please include business impact results where possible.

The Awards will honour outstanding innovation and organizations that provide exceptional customer value. Awards fall into two categories: 

Technology

RISK MITIGATOR

The Risk Mitigator Award recognizes an initiative or solution that helped a partner or client succeed in a tricky situation. Nominations may include any kind of risk situation from security and backup to HR or infrastructure.

DATA MANAGEMENT MASTER

This award recognizes a state-of-the-art data initiative that enables end users to integrate, cleanse, migrate, analyze and manage data across platforms to produce accurate, consistent information in a clear and precise manner.

REMOTE WORK AND COLLABORATIVE WORKSPACES WUNDERKIND

This award recognizes innovative initiatives that increased collaboration, communication, and productivity in the workplace.  The initiative can involve any part of a workspaces transformation from the reconfiguration of physical environments to the enablement of remote environments, the development of collaboration platforms, employee support initiatives, or the introduction of specialized training programs.

PERFECTOR OF PLATFORMS

This award recognizes a platform initiative that significantly improved a customer or partner’s performance of an online initiative. Customers support portals, e-commerce initiatives, trust platforms and single pane of glass offerings would be examples of qualifying initiatives

PUBLIC SECTOR CHAMPION

This award recognizes the most innovative and problem-solving hardware, networking, mobile, cloud, big data, or software-defined initiative for a federal, provincial or municipal government, a crown agency, hospital, or long-term care facility.

EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES GURU
The Emerging Technologies Guru Award recognizes partners providing customer value through new and emerging technologies, such as AI/ML, deep learning, blockchain, or AR/VR. The winning nomination will demonstrate how the initiative is accelerating a business journey.

Human Factor

C4 AWARD FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

The award recognizes an organization that excels in providing unique service and solutions to help solve diversity and inclusion challenges. The organization’s nomination must demonstrate a commitment to equity, inclusion, social justice, or community and social corporate responsibility and a record of acting on that commitment.

NEW NORMAL NINJA

This award recognizes the most unique initiative that helped a partner or client negotiate the impact of the recent pandemic, whether it was the move to a remote posture or assisting in the return to work.  New apps, initiatives for frontline workers, tracing software, human resource initiatives, portals are all examples of possible nominations.

THE INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR

The winner will be selected by an independent judging panel. The award will go to the organization submitting the strongest overall nomination in any category. The judges’ focus will be on measurable results.

Put your company in the national spotlight

CIA winners and all finalists will be recognized at CDN’s Channel Innovation Gala. Submitting solution providers will be invited to a VIP pre-event partner workshop featuring a noted industry expert. All qualified nominations will be posted on the CDN website. Winning solutions will be profiled in CDN Magazine and Direction Informatique, ITWC’s a French language publication devoted to the Quebec marketplace. Winners will also receive a digital badge for use on their websites and in social media to help gain industry-wide recognition and end-user exposure.
