Advanced SystemCare Free fine-tunes your PC

Want to put your PC in tip-top condition, but don’t want to pay for software to do it? Advanced SystemCare Free has a surprisingly full suite of system tools for a free program, and it puts them all within easy reach.

For a start, Advanced SystemCare Free includes a Registry fixer, which fixes invalid or incorrect Registry entries and values, and a system optimizer, which alters the way Windows runs, in order to improve performance. It also scans for spyware, and cleans up your hard disk by deleting junk files. There’s also a system optimizer to change your system settings to make it run more efficiently.

You’ll find dozens of useful modules, including the startup manager, which shows you all the programs that run on startup, and lets you kill any startup entries you deem unnecessary. You can also use Advanced SystemCare Free to back up your drivers, fix broken shortcuts, and much more–such as a spyware remover, junk file cleaner, and privacy sweeper. There are also some very good tools for showing details about your hardware and software configuration.

There’s also a for-pay version of the software available, which includes a “Turbo Boost” feature that is supposed to speed up your system. But there are enough good things in Advanced SystemCare Free that you most likely won’t need to upgrade.

Note: Unlike previous versions, this latest version of Advanced SystemCare Free does not attempt to install the Yahoo Toolbar.
