Apple after Jobs: Is there a future?

The technology headlines (and to a lesser extent the news pages as well) were dominated this week by the news that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) Steve Jobs was stepping-down as CEO, and turning the reigns over to Apple’s COO, Tim Cook.

Jobs has become the iconic face of Apple, and is credited with much of the company’s success in recent years. What will his departure mean for the consumer technology giant?
