Avaya Canada has a new channel chief

Rob Auld is the new channel chief of Avaya Canada.

He will start the new job on Nov. 16th. He was previously the National Mid-Market business lead for Avaya Canada.

“We are excited to announce Rob Auld as the new Regional Channel Leader for Canada. Rob brings a wealth of great experience to the role and will work close with our channel partners to grow our mid-market business, a priority for us here in Canada,” said Walter Andri, the president of Avaya Canada.

Auld replaces former channel chief Miles Davis, who was promoted to the position of vice president of sales for Eastern Canada. Davis was still handling the channel role until the Auld announcement.

Davis held the position of channel chief for nearly two years and in that time instituted the Recruit Onboard Accreditation Develop Sustain program, put in place a bold initiative to double Avaya’s mid-market business in the next two years, and brought in more partner incentives than ever before.

The promotion of Auld takes place just a week after Avaya Canada announced the Mid-market Select Program to a limited number of Avaya Connect channel partners. The new program bundles unified communications solutions, a contact centre, video, networking, mobility and professional services, and are based on the Avaya IP Office platform.

Auld came to Avaya Canada during the summer of this year from Purolator Inc. where he was the director of sales. Prior to Purolator, Auld worked for Telus is various roles and with Salesforce.com Canada.
