Avnet Partner Training Network coming to Canada

Avnet, Inc. training and enablement community, called the Avnet Knowledge Network, will be made available to solution providers in Canada.

Avnet Knowledge Network is a single source of solution and supplier sales information and training for independent software vendor (ISV), managed service provider (MSP), systems integrator (SI) and value-added reseller (VAR) partners. The network is a private community that provides Avnet partners with educational resources to help them sell more complex and multi-vendor solutions along with expanding their knowledge of vertical markets and technology solutions.

Gavin Miller, vice president of marketing for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, called the program a natural next step for the value added distributors. The strategy behind the offering is to provide sales teams with the latest information on a continual basis. Since the Knowledge Network is mobile enabled, partners will be able to access valuable training and materials wherever they are doing business, whether they are in the office, at a customer site or traveling.

The Avnet Knowledge Network is the result of a major collaboration platform investment by Avnet and will feature programs and promotions that cross technologies and vertical market solutions.

Some of the tools inside the Avnet Knowledge Network include battle cards, sales collateral, solution briefs, and supplier training. Additionally, the Knowledge Network provides a forum for partners to engage with Avnet’s subject matter experts, including discussions, collaboration on trends, and advice on solutions for partners’ end customers.

Former Cisco channel executive and current senior vice president of Global Channels for Riverbed Technology Karl Meulema, said he wants the channel community to be as highly trained as possible to better serve customers. The Avnet Knowledge Network provides an ideal way for Riverbed partners to stay up to date.

“More importantly, it simplifies the complexity of solutions sales by bringing together vendor, promotional, technology and vertical market information in one place that our partner teams can access to determine the best and most cost-effective solutions for our customers. The Knowledge Network is another great example of how Avnet understands the tools both Riverbed and our partners need to drive results and provide exceptional value,” Meulema said.

Avnet partners can access the Avnet Knowledge Network immediately using their Avnet Channel Connection login at knowledgenetwork.avnet.com. Partners needing a login should contact their Avnet sales executive or email Avnet’s Security Team to request a login.
