Backup software vendor offering more margins

Veeam Software, a backup, replication and virtualization management software vendor from Columbus, Ohio is now offering its channel partners, under the ProPartners program, the opportunity to earn more margin when they sell Veeam alongside approved VMware and Microsoft products.

The Attach Rewards Program provides additional points to all Veeam Silver, Gold and Platinum ProPartners that sell Veeam with select products from VMware or Microsoft. Veeam, admittedly, is incentivizing ProPartners solution providers to sell a complete virtual infrastructure solution.

In addition to the Attach Rewards program, Veeam has also increased benefits and requirements for Silver ProPartners. In the enhanced program, Silver ProPartners may register deals, obtain not-for-resale (NFR) license keys, receive discounts on internal use licenses, and participate in all ProPartner promotions. To qualify for Silver level status, ProPartners need one sales certification and one technical certification, completion of the Silver enablement program and a minimum of two sales transactions per quarter

Current Silver ProPartners need to ensure that all requirements are met by January 1, 2014 to retain their status. ProPartners who do not act before January 1, 2014 will be reassigned to the Registered membership level.

Bill Botti, vice president, North American sales at Veeam, said that from the very beginning, Veeam has centered the business on the channel. The growth the company is now experiencing over the past six years would not have been possible without the strong relationships Veeam built with ProPartners channel partners. Through the Attach Program and the other enhancements, the company is trying to continue to give ProPartners even more reasons to work with Veeam.
