Cables To Go gets a Canadian boost

In February of this year Dayton, Ohio-based Cables To Go, a divison of Lastar Inc., planted roots in the Canadian market with the hiring of former Ingram Micro Canada executive David Walsh as its Country Manager.

Six months later, the Canadian subsidiary has launched a Canada-specific Web site and enjoyed double-digit growth in the number of new resellers in Canada.

Cables to Go Canada is also running a $15,000 Connect With Cash promotion this quarter with monthly cash drawings for new resellers that register at www.cablestogo.ca/connectwithcash. Registered resellers also receive access to the Cables To Go resource center, complimentary technical support and a lifetime warranty on all cables.

Walsh said that over the past year Cables To Go has seen significant revenue growth in Canada. This is because of a successful combination of reliable and innovative products, customer service and the right mix of strong partners focused on the right markets.

The new web site was created to increase revenues through channel partners, and provide incentives for new resellers.

You can visit the site at www.cablestogo.ca. The site features more than 6,000 products available through the company’s base of distributors, integrators and reseller partners. Channel partners will now be able to access market-specific content for Canadian resellers and customers.

In half a year Walsh has been able to increase inventory through four Canadian distributors. Cables To Go channel partners have seen success with the RapidRun modular cabling system, which allows multiple signals to be transmitted through a single cable, and the company’s line of wireless connectivity products for both A/V equipment and computer peripherals, Walsh said.
