Calgary collaboration display vendor gets global distribution

Calgary-based Smart Technologies is responding to growing demand for its enterprise solutions by signing a new global distribution agreement with Westcon Group.

The company will be Smart Technologies’ global distributor for collaboration solutions for meeting rooms, and will distribute the vendor’s enterprise solutions in North America, Latin America, Middle East and Africa and 13 countries in Europe, as well as facilitate customer opportunities in other countries through its Global Deployment Services Program.

“Unified communications is a business-critical requirement that boosts workplace productivity and efficiency.  Smart Technologies is right at the heart of this transformation,” said Bill Corbin, executive vice-president, global partner management at Westcon Group, in a statement. “Westcon is dedicated to helping resellers leverage this opportunity through proven business solutions focused on unified communications – and adding the Smart portfolio takes this commitment even further.”

Westcon will be the single point of contact for Smart channel partners when it comes to global opportunities, including managing orders, shipping, customs and trade requirements.

“We’re fueled by innovation and a mission to redefine how the world works and learns. That’s why we’re so focused on liberating knowledge workers and unshackling them from traditional meeting room experiences,” said Scott Brown, president, enterprise for Smart Technologies, in a statement. “Key to maximizing global enterprise productivity is a value-added distribution model which acts as a force multiplier, expanding new markets and allowing customers to unleash their productivity. With its rich history in collaboration – along with an unparalleled market footprint — Westcon Group is the perfect partner to accelerate this mission.”
