Canon on Wednesday announced a new set of imagePrograf (iPF) multi-function printer (MFP) systems. The line’s large format capability and scanning and copying features are aimed squarely at the technical document industry, including architects, engineers, and geographic information systems professionals.
These new systems feature a Ci C40 colour scanner with a 40-inch scan width, 600dpi OCR, and scan speeds that reach 10 inches per second in monochrome. They’re powered by a Dell Inspiron 560S PC equipped with a 21.5-inch touch screen display and Canon’s SmartWorks MFP software.
The imagePrograf MFP systems are available in five models: the iPF710, iPF750, iPF755, iPF815, and iPF825. Prices start at $7495 for the iPF710 and work their way up to $11,495 for the top of the line iPF825.
