Cisco loses some channel marketing muscle

According to industry sources, Amanda Jobbins has left Cisco and her role as partner marketing chief.

Jobbins, a native of the U.K., is returning home for family reasons. Cisco has named Karen Walker to replace Jobbins on a interim basis. The networking giant has started a search for a replacement for Jobbins.

Jobbins, a former channel marketing executive at both Symantec and McAfee, has been in the role of partner marketing chief for a little over a year. She replaced the well-liked Luanne Tierney, who left for a similar position at rival Juniper Networks.

In that time, Jobbins performed admirable and we getting a reputation as channel advocate.
