Disaster recovery company Datto Inc. may not be a household name in Canada, but it has just made another large investment in the market.
The Norwalk, Connecticut-based service provider has announced a new data centre in Calgary to serve Canadian MSPs.
This is the company’s second Canadian data centre, and follows one launched in Toronto in 2013. The company claims to have grown its partners in Canada by four times since 2014. The company has been expanding globally including into areas such as Singapore.
Datto offers a variety of on-premises, virtual, and cloud-to-cloud services. It also sells a business continuity and disaster recovery appliance called Siris, which also provides a gateway to the Datto Cloud.
“The new Calgary location also enables Datto partners to expand into larger markets and scale for growth to meet the growing needs of midmarket and enterprise customers,” the company said in a statement.
