The Youtube like Web site Bolt.com has shut down.
”New York’s Bolt.com, a YouTube-like video site, announced on its home page that it has shut its doors. Bolt, founded in 1996, at one point had more than 13 millions users uploading and rating music, photos and videos. But Universal Music Group sued the site last year for copyright infringement. The two settled the suit this spring.”

Like an old-style corporate behemoth, Skype is in full damage control. The modern twist, though, is that it’s being proactive and only slightly defensive as it aggressively reaches out via email and online forums to quell customer concerns.”

“Overstating earnings between $50 million – $150 million between 2003-2006 is not all that big for a company as big as Dell. This doesn’t excuse what the company did, but it does raise some questions about the incentives facing business managers. In the post-SarbOx era, these kinds of infractions can lead to serious penalties, and yet managers felt it was worthwhile to add a penny here and there in order to satisfy the Street’s demands.”
