Don’t let sinking tech stocks get you down

Fast forward a few days and The VAR Guy suspects that Rackspace outlook remains the same — regardless of Wall Street’s steep decline.”

42 percent of PCs will be running Windows 7 by year-end

Mary Jo Foley reports on predictions from Gartner, Inc.

“Gartner is also predicting that 94 percent of new PCs will ship with Windows 7 installed this year, analysts said on August 9. Improvements in IT spending in 2010 and 2011 are accelerating deployment of Windows 7 in the U.S. and Asian Pacific enterprise markets, Gartner said.”
