Follow Friday: #CDNWomen Twitter chat stars

Our just concluded Twitter chat on the issue of women and leadership roles in IT was one of our more engaging and eye opening Twitter chats.

We’d like to thank all those who participated in the conversation by contributing their insights, as well as candid and informed comments.

For this week’s Follow Friday we’re featuring some of the chat participants.

We’ll start off with our two guest experts:

Jennifer Johnson is senior director of marketing and North American marketing strategy at computer and technology product distributor Ingram Micro. She specializes in strategic marketing for both B2B and B2C, as well as customer and competitive intelligence.

“Gender isn’t the issue – it’s about balancing the gender scales in specific fields and levels,” says Johnson.

Corinne Sharp is president of Sharp Perspective, a channel strategy business transformation firm. Gail Mercer-MacKay is president of Mercer-Mackay Solutions Inc. Her company helps Microsoft channel partners build marketing strategies and increase sales. She’s also a board member of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners and founder of the Womankind Creative Writing Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, which helps empower women by encouraging them to tap into their inner creativity.
