Follow Friday: Focus on digital signage experts

The digital signage business continues to grow and some analysts project that the global market for this sub segment of signage to reach no less than US$13 billion by 2017.

While Canada and the United States remains its largest regional market, the retail boom in countries such as Singapore, China, Malaysia and United Arab Emirates provide more areas for digital signage to thrive in.

For this week’s Follow Friday, we focus on three digital signage experts previously encountered by CDN

Haroon Mirza is currently the entrepreneur in residence at OMERS Ventures. Prior to that, he was director of business development at Intel Corp., and was founder and CEO of CognoVision Solutions Inc.

CognoVision is a Toronto-based provider of real-time audience measurement and retail intelligence solutuions, which was purchased by Intel.

Terence McGuire specializes in the use of digital media for marketing, costumer engagement and training. An award-winning designer and producer, Terry is a pioneer in the design and development of interactive multimedia and digital signage.

Lyle Bunn is an independent analyst, adviser and educator in the dynamic place-based media industry and named one of the most influential industry people by the publication DigitalSignageToday. He is an expert in the planning, sourcing, implementation and upgrade of digital signage systems and place-based media.
