#FollowFriday: Three digital payment experts on Twitter

For this week’s CDN #FollowFriday, we are are showcasing mobile and digital payment experts.

Among this trio we have a senior Canadian analyst for mobile payments, a digital currency engineer and a senior Bitcoin lobbyist.

First up is Christie Christelis, president of Technology Strategies International Inc., a company that specializes in the payments and mobile sectors.  His insight sheds light on Apple Pay, Google Wallet, CurrentC, as well as POS systems in both Canada and the United States.

Next up is David Schwartz, chief cryptographer at Ripple Labs, which offers both an exchange and payment system for digital currencies, as well as the second-most widely used digital currency, the “ripple”.

His expertise is in engineering and implementing currencies for real-life transactions.

Finally, Jon Matonis is an exiting board director at the Bitcoin Foundation, a lobbyist group for Bitcoin. As the editor of The Monetary Future blog who has held various roles at Sumitomo Bank, VISA and VeriSign, the cryptocurrency economist researches electronic money on a regular basis.
