CDN learned that Frederickson mulled over at least three serious offers before he chose Long View.
Long View president Gord Mawhinney called the hiring of Frederickson a great day for Long View. “There are only a handful of people who have earned the level of respect that Dave has achieved as an important member of the IT industry. Dave is one of the brightest, most innovative, and highly respected minds in the business.
In a prepared statement, Frederickson said that he’s been aware of Long View for more than 10 years, and that he’s always been impressed with the company’s ability to connect with its customers’ needs – not just in the near-term, but also qualifying future trends – while bringing together the best in the industry to craft those customer solutions.
“I wanted to be part of an organization that has differentiation in the market. I also wanted to work in a culture where employees are duly recognized and rewarded, people are at the heart of decision-making and investment, and work-life balance is paramount. After an extensive analysis, I feel Long View is a special place . . . and the best fit for me.
“I’m excited about helping Long View continue along its path of consistent growth, and creating a strong presence for Long View nationally across Canada. I’m ready to have fun – and make a valuable contribution.”
