Former CDN Top Newsmaker of the Year Grant Aiken has been named Canadian Country Manager for Pivot3 Solutions, a Texas-based vendor of dynamic hyper-converged and PCIe flash arrays.
Pivot3 works in more than 50 countries targeting the mid-market mostly.
Aitken, who spent more than nine years as the face VMware Canada, was recently collaborating with the Canadian Channel Chiefs Council, a not-for-profit association for channel professionals started by CDN.
Aitken said in his LinkedIn profile that he plans on taking Pivot3’s business in Canada to the next level.
He added that the Pivot3 platform is designed to provide the scalability and reliability to handle the most demanding application workloads, including a specialty in surveillance.
Pivot3 also provides a wide range of hyper converged and flash storage solutions depending on customer need designed to run on various hardware. Pivot3 packages its solutions as pre-configured appliances or as software-only solutions.
Recently Pivot3 updated its channel partner program and hit the 200 per cent deal registrations milestone. The company also announced the availability of Edge Office, a new HCI product for small-to-mid-sized business and remote and branch office environments.
Aitken’s appointment was not the only new hire for Pivot3. Jamie Lerner is the new Chief Revenue Officer for Pivot3. Lerner is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of experience developing technology portfolios for cloud and data centre vendors such as Cisco Systems and Seagate.
