HandySoft Global wants to grow its business in Canada

HandySoft Global Corp., a U.S.-based vendor of business process management software, is “bullish” towards the market place as it prepares to establish a partner presence in Canada by next year, an executive said.

The Falls Church, Va.-based company was established in 1991 and its solutions are designed to enable businesses to achieve better visibility, control and more productivity across all areas of work in the workplace.

Although the company has about 10 Canadian customers now and more than 600,000 users worldwide, HandySoft does not yet have a Canadian channel presence said its vice-president of business development, Mike Carucci.

Carucci said the company has between 20 and 30 channel partners globally, but wants to expand this presence to include Canada as well.

Right now, Glastonbury, Conn.-based Open Solutions Inc. is providing HandySoft solutions to the financial sector in Canada, Carucci said.

“We’re bullish on the Canadian market and I think the Canadian market has so much potential,” Carucci said. “We’re looking to grow our reseller and systems integrator partner ecosystem by recruiting new partners, as part of our growth strategy in 2010.”

Carucci said HandySoft conducts more than half of its sales through the channel, noting that 53 per cent of the company’s overall sales are indirect.

“We depend on our partners and our success depends on our business alliance with the partner community,” he explained. “We’re committed to mutually growing with our partners and working in close cooperation with them to create value and satisfaction for end-users.”

HandySoft has an online portal for partners where they can share knowledge with each other and can also download tools to help them do business. The company also has training courses available through its office location, on-the-road, or through online sessions.

The company’s flagship product is its BizFlow software suite for Business Process Management (BPM). The solution supports both structured and unstructured business processes for business design, processes and workflow automation, Carucci explained. BizFlow has the ability to track work across the organization, such as monitoring who assigns work and roles, when projects are due and whether or not the task is completed on time.
