Tony Smith reveals HP’s Palm tablet specifications which have been leaked.

“It was bound to happen: the upcoming Palm tablet’s specifications have leaked out of HP. And, WebOS and inductive charging aside – and both of these are Palm smartphone standards – it’s unexceptional stuff considering what all the other tablet makers are going to offer. The specs were leaked to Pre Central. The CPU is a 1.2GHz ARM-based boy from Qualcomm, though it is dual core. The tablet’s screen is an iPad-like 9.7in, 1024 x 768 IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD, the touch-sensitive layer capacitive. It has an ‘EZ-clean’ coating.”

Cloud Computing: How VARs and MSPs Can Get Started
The VAR Guy
Todd Roth writes how cloud computing will impact partners’ sales models.

“What does change, however, is the way cloud computing is bought and sold. Some partners will serve solely as private cloud builders, while others will serve as cloud service providers. These cloud service providers will increasingly work with cloud resellers or aggregators in the delivery of software and IT as a service to clients. Think of cloud resellers or aggregators as acting as a cloud solution broker – helping guide the customer to the best solution for their IT needs. In this capacity, instead of acting as a value added reseller, these broker partners will be paid for the clients’ usage of software on a unit-based consumption model.”
