HP Canada makes it official on PSG chief

Leyland Brown is the new Vice President & General Manager of thePersonal Systems Group (PSG) of Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co., based in Mississauga, Ont.

Brown told CDN this morning that she did get the promotion and is thrilled about her new opportunity.

Brown replaces Charles Salameh, who was promoted this past February to a position at HP’s mobility division in the U.S.

Brown took over on an interim basis as acting PSG Canada chief.

In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of HP Canada’s client computing business, including sales, marketing, operations, supply chain and total customer experience for PSG.

PSG covers the industry’s broadest range of access devices, including commercial and consumer personal computers, technical workstations and webOS devices.

A 15-year veteran of HP Canada, Brown will continue to oversees several strategic company-wide functions, including the Solution Partners Organization, headed by channel chief John Cammilleri.

Leyland has been with HP for more than 15 years. She has held various senior management roles during her career, including her most recent position as Commercial PSG Marketing Vice President.
