HP further revises Windows 8 downgrade policy

Bought a new PC running Windows 8 and find yourself wishing it was running Windows 7 instead? Well, depending on the version of Windows you’re running, you can do that. But if your PC is an HP, the story is changing on what level of support you’ll get from the hardware vendor.

According to a report from ComputerWorld, after some strident customer feedback HP has again revised its Windows 8 downgrade policy:“In the two revised support FAQs, the first posted on Friday, the second published Monday, HP backed away from the earlier refusal to provide Windows 7 drivers — a critical component for a successful downgrade — and instead said, ‘HP has not tested all Windows 8 platforms for Windows 7 and we may not have your particular drivers available.’”Click here to read “HP tweaks Windows 8 downgrade policy
