HPE focuses on digital transformation with partner program changes

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is putting a renewed focus on digital transformation for its channel partners with its latest changes to its Partner Ready program.

The Palo Alto-based company was busy on its first day of HPE Discover 2017 in Las Vegas, announcing that it has expanded on its current Partner Ready Competencies in order to make selling HPE hybrid and edge solutions easier for partners, introduced the HPE Pointnext service for partners to help customers begin the journey of digital transformation, and officially announced the Partner Ready Digital Marketing Program.

HPE isn’t actually adding any additional competencies to those announced last September. Instead, the company has created additional resources to help its partners sell these competencies. This includes an expanded set of partner enablement assets, which contains reference architectures, solution guides, customer presentations, and quick reference cards.

On top of the additional competencies support, HPE has a new Silver Data Centre specialization that reduces the partner training time from nine to five days. Knowledge Credit Simplification has also been changed for partners to replicate what HPE employees learn in order to reduce administrative inefficiencies.

The new Pointnext solution is all about digital transformation. It is built on three types of services: advisory and transformation services for consulting along the digital transformation journey; professional services for implementation and configurations for software and hardware; and operational services to support on-premises and cloud workloads, resources, and capacity.

Pointnext is purpose-built for scale and delivery for channel partners.

The Partner Ready Digital Marketing Program is designed to help partners with HPE resources or marketing services, and provides access to partner marketing managers, marketing services agencies, market development funds, and various events. Last September, HPE announced a digital marketing concierge service that partners can also take advantage of.
