HPE introduces new managed hybrid server line targeting SMB and education

HPE is introducing a new lineup in the managed hybrid server space geared towards SMB, educational organizations and branch offices.

The first solution in the new Easy Connect family will be called ProLiant EC200a, and will be sold through the channel as a fully managed, preconfigured, on-site server.

The solution combines compute, storage, networking with virtualization and management software from Zynstra, meaning the server is monitored remotely.

The Easy Connect portfolio is oriented around small businesses and is designed with ease of installation and is pre-integrated with options such as Microsoft Office 365 and Azure. It also features automated maintenance, patches and upgrades.

In addition to the subscription-based managed server, HPE also introduced the ProLiant ML10 Gen9 server, which features an Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 processor at an upfront cost of $299.

The HPE ProLiant Easy Connect Managed Hybrid solution will be available starting April 28 with subscription fees dependent on configuration.
