Ingram Micro Canada’s new marketing guru speaks out

Distributor Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM), held its annual VTN (Venture Tech Network) spring invitational in Hollywood, Fla. last month, where the company announced the availability of new partner resources.

The new initiatives are designed to help partners boost their sales activity and sales opportunities and include: VTN Connect, VTN Incentive Support Program and the VTN Business Intelligence Portal.

Derick Wong, Ingram Micro Canada’s new senior director of marketing, joined the company last month. The role was previously held by Deborah Brown, who left the company last summer. Up until Wong’s hiring at Ingram Micro, Brown’s position had been left vacant.

In this video interview, both Mark Snider, general manager for Ingram Micro Canada, and Wong discuss the role and also how it has evolved over the course of the year.

Dave Mason, the vice-president of sales for Ingram Micro Canada, also provides an update on the business and the distributor’s outlook for this year.
