Ingram Micro’s Mark Snider gets promoted

Ingram Micro Canada announced this week the promotion of Mark Snider to senior vice president and general manager of the company.

After joining in 1995 as director of inside sales, Snider has had various roles at Ingram including the senior director of major accounts division, vice president of sales for Canada and the general manager of partner development.  Under his supervision as GM, Snider helped Ingram become the first of the three major distributors to ink a deal with Dell, and also nabbed a spot on CDN’s list of Top 25 Newsmakers of 2014.

“For nearly seven years Mark has successfully led the Canadian business, transforming it into a large and significant contributor to Ingram Micro’s global operations,” said Paul Bay, president of Ingram Micro North America in an official statement. “We are pleased to recognize Mark’s leadership, innovation and relentless dedication to our channel partners and associates within Canada and across North America.”

Snider was inducted into the Ingram Micro VentureTech Network’s (VTN) Hall of Fame last year.
