Joseph L. Flatley writes that according to Fudzilla , Intel’s Ion 2 chipset will be available by the end of the year.

“The second-generation platform is said to feature much faster graphics, over twice the shaders, a smaller die, and support for the VIA Nano as well as the usual compliment of Pentium 4-compatible CPUs.”

Google Wave Not Coming to Resellers–Yet

Matthew Weinberger writes about Google Wave and the Google Apps reseller program.

“Wave sounds promising but it won’t be a part of the Google Apps reseller program, at least not at launch.‘No timeline at this point,’ says Google Apps Channel Manager Jeff Ragusa. ‘But I hope our reseller partners see it as an example of how Google is continuing to invest in the future of the Web and reminds them why they are partnering with Google to ultimately bring innovative cloud-computing applications to the business environment.’”

Larry Dignan recaps Intel’s third quarter revenue earning results.

“Intel on Tuesday reported net income of $1.9 billion, or 33 cents a share, on sales of $9.4 billion, down from $10.2 billion in the same quarter a year ago. Wall Street was looking for earnings of 28 cents on revenue of $9.06 billion. As for the outlook, Intel projected fourth quarter revenue of $10.1 billion, give or take $400 million. Wall Street was expecting Intel to deliver fourth quarter sales of $9.52 billion. Intel also projected fourth quarter gross margins of 62 per cent, ahead of the 56.86 per cent estimate.”
