LifeSize, an Austin, Tx-based high definition video communications provider, has announced today that it has further expanded its distribution relationship with distributor, Tech Data Corp. to now provide solutions to channel partners in Canada and Latin America.
Through the distribution agreement, Tech Data will stock LifeSize’s entire line up of HD products. The distribution relationship first began with Tech Data in the U.S. last November and has since then been largely successful. As a result of this, LifeSize has decided to offer solution providers in Canada and Latin America the same product luxuries and availability.
Dan Sibille, director of global channels at LifeSize, said the company is pleased to expand its relationship with Tech Data in market areas outside of the U.S.
“High definition video allows companies to be global without the hassle, high cost and carbon footprint of international air travel,” he said. “We are looking forward to continuing our success in Canada and Latin America.”
According to LifeSize, the products are also capable of interoperating with nearly any videoconferencing system and are also standards compliant.
“The opportunity (with LifeSize) is particularly strong for those solution providers who focus on voice and video solutions,” Ray Gonsalves, director of product marketing at Tech Data Canada said.
Together, LifeSize and Tech Data’s go to market strategy includes creating joint marketing campaigns and targeted channel programs to further attract and support LifeSize’s reseller base. In addition, Canadian channel partners can expect to see LifeSize in Tech Data’s six-city Business Builder Tour as well.
