LogLogic eyes the Canadian market

San Jose, Calif.-based LogLogic, a log data management and intelligence (LMI) vendor, wants to expand into Canada.

The company recently released its fourth generation flagship product, a multi-dimensional search log that aims to improve business productivity and costs.

Called LogLogic, the product processes log messages in real time and stores them in an unaltered format in a centralized location. Administrators can also perform a “Google-like” search to receive data analyses and can also set real-time alerts using this solution. The company boasts LogLogic customers can see a return-on-investment usually within just three to six months of use.

With a 100 per cent commitment to the channel, LogLogic offers its channel partner community, which currently consists of over 300 partners, with training and accreditation programs to help suit their needs.

“We offer ongoing standardized training,” said Andy Lark, chief marketing officer of LogLogic. “We do our best to [ensure] our channel partners benefit from training. We also have all kinds of margin benefits for partners who sell more and our margins are typically 20 per cent and up. We also have incentives that include prizes and awards for them too.”

LogLogic’s customer base currently consists of over 300 end-users worldwide and Lark sees no problem in getting this number to grow.

“There’s already so much demand in the U.S. market,” he said. “Now, what’s next for us, is we see enormous opportunity to expand our footprint in the Canadian and global community.”

Lark added, what helps set LogLogic apart from its competitors is LogLogic’s ability to send automated alerts to help mitigate risks, compliance and security threats.

“Demand for log management has been very strong over the past year,” Lark said. “One of the drivers for this is because of compliance and mandates for log management and intelligence.”

According to the company, LogLogic 4 provides users with 30 new features, a 35 per cent overall performance increase, as well as two times the amount of storage space compared to LogLogic 3 and other similar solutions. Using LogLogic’s open log services platform, users can also create Web portals to monitor risk mitigation and compliance.

Another selling feature of this product is that it’s compatible with any device and can install in just 10 minutes. Once installed, it instantly gathers data and has the ability to search and get results in as little as 10 seconds or less, Lark claims.

“It’s easy to integrate our technology with other applications,” Lark said. “Our focus is to easily install this and to have it as self-maintaining as possible so it will just plug and play right out of the box. It’s very user-friendly and it’s easy to configure.”
