McAfee revamps deal registration to include fatter margins

“The bottom line for the new registration program is your bottom line by rewarding partners for securing new business deals, according to McAfee. The program started as a pilot run, which, Thurber said, was ‘ … an incredible success,’ leading McAfee to roll it out globally. Subsequently, the new registration program is now fully available to all Elite, Premier and Select channel partners, with small parts of the program available to associate partners.”

Apple reportedly ups iPhone production orders by 12 per cent

Tony Smith writes that the company is expecting a boom in the second half of the year.

“iPhone 5 orders will total 25.5m to 26m units, apparently, 5.5-6m of them in Q3 – September, essentially, since it won’t be out until then – and the rest in Q4. That, the moles say, represents a small reduction in Q3 volumes but a big increase in Q4 orders. Apple is clearly expecting a bumper Christmas.”
