Montreal solution provider partners with IBM

Sourcevolution, an IT solution provider from Montreal, has signed a partnership agreement with IBM to become an official reseller and integrator of IBM Netezza.

Sourcevolution specializes in business intelligence and will be integrating Netezza and big data line of data warehouse products.

Founded in 2003, the company has more than 150 staff in Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto.

The addition of Netezza and the big data line is a logical extension of the firm’s current offer, which already includes services for related products, such as IBM DataStage and IBM Cognos, as well as SAS Business Analytics and SAS Business Intelligence, the company said.

Yves Perron, president of Sourcevolution, said the company already has a long standing relationship with IBM and have worked closely with them in recent years to develop a mobile communication platform called freedomone. This partnership came about very naturally and he believes that Sourcevolution’s knowledge and vast expertise in business intelligence will be a value add to IBM.
