NASA contracts Insight as part of $20 billion procurement plan

Insight Public Sector, a division of multinational IT provider Insight Enterprises Inc. has announced that it has been contracted by NASA as part of a $20 billion procurement plan to provide both hardware and software.

As part of the contract, Insight will also be able to work with ‘all federal agencies and government contractors in addition to all NASA centers,” the company said.

“The SEWP V contract enables Insight to offer its robust solutions for data centers and virtualization, data protection, mobility, cloud, and a full spectrum of hardware, software and IT services,” Insight said in a statement. “The contract was awarded as part of NASA’s identification of vendors in Group D that can now provide state-of-the-art information and computer technologies, high-end scientific and engineering processing capabilities, and network equipment and peripherals to federal agencies.”

The IT provider offers data center and virtualization, data protection, mobility, network and security, and cloud solutions to both the public and private sectors.
