NEC squares up to 24-inch monitor for designers

NEC Display Solutions has released the MultiSync LCD2490WUXi, a 24-inch widescreen monitor that upgrades the LCD2490WUXi.

Featuring an IPS panel, NEC says that the LCD is well-suited for demanding applications in graphics design, image and video processing or desktop publishing. Superb colour reproduction is achieved by an improved black level, a higher contrast ratio as well as digital uniformity contro, according to NEC.

The use of IPS LCD technology is designed to ensure minimal colour shift, higher colour stability and outstanding black level, whilst its X-Light Pro feature helps with uniformity of colour and brightness. The monitor has a resolution of 1,920-x-1,200.

Ergonomics and design are also key features of the LCD2490WUXi, says NEC. The cabinet has an 18mm narrow bezel can be height adjusted by up to 150mm, and also offers the possibility of viewing content in either landscape or portrait modes. The AmbiBright light sensor automatically controls of the display’s brightness. The monitor features two DVI and one VGA inputs, and comes with a three-year guarantee.

The NEC MultiSync LCD2490WUXi is available now in black or in light gray with a silver bezel.
