New all-in-one Epson printer geared for small, medium-sized businesses

The small-to-medium business market is the target of Epson America Inc.’s latest all-in-one printer.

The WorkForce Pro ET-8700 features Epson’s replaceable ink pack system technology with up to two years of ink included in the box, enough to print up to 16,000 black pages and 11,000 coloured pages, the company said in a press release. The new printer includes a space-saving, easy-to-load system at its base, unlike previous models that included side compartments to hold ink packs.

The 8700’s smaller size – Epson says the printer is 40 per cent smaller than the previous model – and its ability to print in high-volume is perfect for business owners, said Nils Madden, marketing director, consumer marketing for Epson America.

“With the new low-cost replacement ink packs integrated along the base of the ET-8700 printer, we’ve taken Epson’s traditional EcoTank design, and optimized it for high productivity,” said Madden in a statement. “We’ve made it easier for business owners to enjoy the hassle-free two years of ink in the box with this new, easy-to-use design and ultra-fast print speeds, giving them more time to focus on what’s really important – managing their businesses.”

The WorkForce Pro ET-8700 will be available April 2018 through major computer, office and electronic retailers, and on the Epson store epsonstore.com. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $1,000.
