Veeam Software, a developer of backup, replication and virtualization management solutions for VMware vSphere and Windows Server Hyper-V, has launched Veeam Backup Management Suite 6.5.
The new offering combines Veeam Backup & Replication 6.5 and the new Veeam ONE 6.5 in a single integrated solution for data protection and virtualization management, and is built specifically for virtualization.
Formerly known as Veeam Management Suite, the new version introduces several new features., including advanced monitoring, reporting and capacity planning for backup, advanced capacity planning for VMware and Hyper-V, and new hypervisor support for vSphere 5.1 and Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V.

New Veeam Backup Management Suite 6.5 was specifically built for virtualization to offer a powerful, easy-to-use and affordable solution for SMB and Enterprise customers,” said Veeam Software president Ratmir Timashev in a statement. “It enhances the power of Veeam Backup & Replication by delivering a comprehensive solution with advanced management capabilities for the backup infrastructure.”
Veeam Backup Management Suite 6.5 is available now, starting at US$1,395 per socket for Enterprise Edition and US$1,100 per socket for Standard Edition, with upgrades from Veeam Backup & Replication (any edition) at US$401 per socket.
