New line of colour printers with borderless printing comes to channel

Printer vendor Memjet has brought its C6010 office color printer line, which offers edge-to-edge, full-coverage color printouts, to Canada.

The C6010 prints at a default of 60 pages per minute, which Memjet claims makes it the fastest color desktop printer capable of borderless printing. The vendor claims its high-density page-wide printheads and associated office-printing devices are twice as fast as traditional color office laser printers, while costing half as much to run.

“With the arrival of Memjet powered C6010 printers in Canada, small and medium businesses through their office equipment resellers can now for the first time access fast affordable color printing revolutionized by Memjet page-wide printing technology,” states Bill McGlynn, president of Memjet Office, in a statement. “The C6010 improves productivity in fast-paced office environments for all types of businesses looking to improve efficiencies, save money and print high-impact color documents.”

The vendor is positioning the C6010 office printers as a good fit for small businesses looking to print the printing of marketing materials in house, thanks to the borderless printing and lower operating costs.

The C6010 releases up to 700 million drops of ink per second, and the speed extends to warmup thanks to its “always-on” feature.

means it’s always ready to go at a fraction of the cost and energy consumed by laser printers. Finally, small and medium businesses can print as big as their ideas without the limitations of legacy laser office printers whose core printing technology was invented decades ago. With the C6010, the definition of “office printer” has changed to match the pace at which businesses work.

The C6010 is available in Canada now except for Quebec, where it will launch in the second half of 2013. The printer line and related accessories are sold through Memjet’s Canadian reseller network.
