New online service in Alberta town saves paperwork time for start-up companies

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Alta., has launched BizPal, a new online business permit and license service.

The new service helps entrepreneurs save time on paperwork by helping them get their business started up faster.

Through BizPal, users can access information on the permits and licenses that are needed to create and operate a business.

BizPal is a result of a partnership among the federal, provincial, territorial, regional and local governments. The service was developed in conjunction with the Municipality, the Province of Alberta and the Government of Canada.

The province is also looking into further expanding BizPal into other areas of Alberta over the next year.
