Notebook Internet phones

Targus Inc. announced two phones for the mobile worker, the USB Notebook Mouse Internet Phone and USB Internet Phone with Keypad.The USB Notebook Mouse Internet Phone works as both a notebook mouse and a USB phone and is compatible with MSN, Yahoo, Google, Skype and Vonage.

It has a mouse mode and phone mode. In mouse mode, it works like a standard three-button USB optical mouse. When the phone rings, the phone mode is automatically activated. Press the answer key and pick up the mouse/phone or press the scroller wheel to activate the speakerphone.

This integrated USB phone comes with a built-in microphone, speakerphone, headphone jack and a built-in independent sound chip with volume control that offers full duplex sound technology. Suggested retail price is $49.99.

The USB Internet Phone with Keypad includes a microphone, volume control and a built-in sound chip compact keypad for those who like to dial their phone numbers. Compatible with VoIP services such as Skype and Vonage, it can also be used as a compact keypad to input numerical data and execute commands such as page up or down, delete, insert, number lock, etc. Suggested retail price is $59.99.
