Optiv Canada and SailPoint awarded SLSA by federal government

Optiv Canada Federal Inc. and SailPoint Technologies Inc. are joining forces to support government clients to centrally govern access to applications and systems across their enterprise.

Optiv announced this morning that it was awarded a Software Licensing Supply Arrangement (SLSA) from the Canadian federal government.

“In today’s threat landscape, governments are under constant assault from cybercriminals and a wide variety of ever-evolving cybersecurity attacks more than ever,” said Cheryl McGrath, area vice-president and general manager of Optiv Canada Federal. “Utilizing SailPoint’s industry-leading technology, both entities will be able to offer the Canadian government a high level of service to gird its cyber defenses in a proactive, systematic manner.”

According to the Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) website, an SLSA comprises of two phases. The first, which has presumably been completed, consists of suppliers qualifying for an SLSA and then posting their products (software licenses and maintenance/support services) and ceiling prices in the publicly available SLSA Catalogue.

The second phase will consist of approved PSPC and client authorities competing for these products and services based on their needs.

Optiv Canada Federal is a Toronto-based subsidiary of Optiv Security, a Denver-based security solutions firm.

SailPoint is an identity management and data governance firm based out of Austin, Texas.
