Oracle announces digital storefront solution Commerce Cloud

Oracle has unveiled Commerce Cloud, a new Software-as-a-Service solution on the company’s public cloud service, designed to create responsive storefronts on desktop and mobile devices.

According to the software vendor, users of the new offering would get a responsive, configurable storefront with search and navigation, recommendations, promotions, reporting, payments, design templates, SEO, catalogue, content, design and merchandising management all under a single console.

The solution is HTML5 and API-based, which Oracle claims allows businesses to built additional functionality as well as integration with a user’s own or third party systems.  Oracle’s own solutions that integrate with Commerce Cloud include PaaS, Java Cloud, and Developer Cloud.

The company will be rolling out a training program for partners in both the U.S. and Europe.
