Paxton Access Solutions taps Ingram Micro for distribution

“Under the distribution agreement, Ingram Micro’s Physical Security Business Unit will sell and support Paxton Access’ entire portfolio of control systems, including IP and wireless security controllers, server- and browser-based security software solutions, proximity sensors, ‘special readers’ and the all-important keypad.”
Cisco refuses to deny it will sell off Linksys

Kelly Fiveash writes that Cisco isn’t denying (or confirming)letting go of its Linksys and WebEx brands.
“A Cisco spokesman told The Registertoday that the company was not willing to ‘comment on rumour and speculation’. Just last week, when discussing the firm’s third quarter results, Cisco boss John Chambers said that the company would be scaling back on products and people.”
Almost all Android phones vulnerable to authentication attack

Paul McNamara looks at a major new vulnerability among Android smartphones.
“We wanted to know if it is really possible to launch an impersonation attack against Google services and started our own analysis. The short answer is: Yes, it is possible, and it is quite easy to do so. Further, the attack is not limited to Google Calendar and Contacts, but is theoretically feasible with all Google services using the ClientLogin authentication protocol for access to its data APIs.”
