Printer vendor steps up its channel program

Epson will be offering major discounts with no minimum purchase requirements to its network of solution providers.

This was one of many new benefits being offering by Epson on its revamped ImageWay Partner Program.

The ImageWay program is targeted at the small-to-mid-size business market. Qualified channel partners serving this market will have access to the full range of Epson imaging solutions: business projectors, business printers and document scanners. With this strategy, Epson wants to enable channel partners to offer customers a more comprehensive suite of office solutions. The company also said it is interested in acquiring new solution providers as well.

Through ImageWay, solution providers historically signed up to sell specific product groups tailored to their expertise and customer base. Now, qualified reseller partners have access to the full line-up of products offered through ImageWay. Besides bigger discounts, Epson will include dedicated sales and technical support, bid support, product customization, financing support and access to a free demo unit and no-charge evaluation units inside the new ImageWay program.

Grace Huang, group product manager, Business Imaging for Epson, said the company is now able to provide partners with the tools they need to give customers a more robust line-up of Epson’s imaging solutions and help them succeed with these program enhancements.

Under the ImageWay banner, solution providers will have access to business projectors for education and home theater markets.

Business printers for creative professionals and SMB.

Wide-format and workgroup colour printers.

Workgroup productivity solutions.

Mobile printing through Epson Connect.

And, document scanners that are portable and for workgroups specifically healthcare, finance/banking and education markets.

Other aspects of the new ImageWay program are:

Free customer evaluation units.

Bid support from small- to large-size opportunities.

One-stop pre-sales and post-sales assistance.

Sales lead distribution.

Financing, leasing, or rental program.

Access to in-depth, up-to-date marketing materials and tools including data sheets, sales kits and product training.
