QNAP opens shop in Markham

Taiwanese network, storage and virtualization provider QNAP has announced the opening of its office in Markham, ON.

Starting today, the office located at #7B, 7100 Warden Ave.  will be open for business and provide such services as local, multi-lingual product pre and post-sales technical support, Canadian reseller support and, a product showroom with configuration testing environments, and webinars and product training.

“Where other companies consider Canada as ‘USA North’ and try and service Canada from US offices, QNAP boldly starts a dedicated office,” the company said in a statement.

“We’re honored to be in a position to better support our Canadian resellers and end-user customers with a local office that will provide a bevy of services and not just be a sales office” said Siimon Tsai Canada country manager at QNAP. “The QNAP Canadian office is a prime example of our efforts to bring product expertise and service closer to the individual markets.”

QNAP, which also provides network attached storage (NAS) and network video recorder (NVR) solutions, is headquartered in Taipei, but has offices in Pomona, CA, the UK, China, Thailand, India, Germany, and the Netherlands.
