Samsung takes 3D displays to a super slim level

We’ve come a long way since the elegant, but bulky and small-screened early televisions, resident in stylish wooden boxes. The newest offering from Samsung is also elegant and stylish, but in an entirely new way.

The Samsung 9000 Series TVs uses LED technology to deliver a television such 7.98mm thick, but still produce a stunning Full HD picture. The display is also 3D capable with supported 3D content and Samsung’s specialized 3D glasses, and is capable of up-scaling tradition 2D HD video to a “3D-like” viewing experience. A touchscreen remote control allows users to enter text and control the rest of their home entertainment system, and Samsung’s LinkStick wireless interface allows streaming of multimedia content to and from the TV and supported devices.

CDN was at The Design Exchange in Toronto for Samsung Canada’s launch event for the 9000 Series televisions, and got up close and personal with the new TVs. Find out more in this CDN video report:
