Solution provider takes a shot at multi-cloud deployments

Boston-based cloud solution provider Cloud Technology Partners launched its Cloud Management Platform Services designed to accelerate the adoption of multi-cloud environments that incorporate various cloud services.

David Linthicum, senior vice president of the company, said the use of cloud-based platforms in the technology industry continues to evolve into more complex arrangements, because the business world now demands a mix of many best-of-breed cloud services to form the optimal solution. The Cloud Management Platform Services address these demands, enabling customers to create an enterprise cloud strategy that includes the ability to place workloads and data wherever it is most appropriate – in a public, private, or mixed environment while managing from a single pane of glass.

Cloud Management Platform Services is vendor independent, according to Cloud Technology Partners. The reason for this approach is to help customers quickly understand their requirements, design the target environment, evaluate vendors, and implement the cloud management platform that best suits their business needs.  The services streamline customer processes by combining Cloud Technology Partners’ knowledge of the top vendors in the space with the firm’s extensive experience in cloud management best practices and client use cases.

Company vice president Brian Ott said evaluating, architecting, and implementing a cloud management platform is not just about performing a simple product selection exercise or installing shrink-wrap software. It requires a deep understanding across many cloud platforms that can only be achieved from having direct hands-on experience architecting and building clouds.
