For the fourth year in a row, CDW Canada stands atop the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers list in a historic tie for the number one spot with Softchoice.
The Etobicoke-based solution provider has come into its own in this “new era” of mobile and cloud. It has consistently built its pool of experts internally, enabling the company to leverage the right technology to turn ideas into reality and goals into results.
In 2016, CDW Canada finished in the $750-800 million revenue range, landing it at the top spot for the fourth year running. When the company first joined the CDN Top 100 in 2006, CDW Canada was ranked number 13th. Since then, the company consistently moved up in the ranking finally hitting the number one slot in 2014. It became the first subsidiary of a U.S.-based company to capture the number one spot.
J.D. Hupp, vice president and general manager of CDW Canada was on hand at the Top 100 Solution Provider Gala to accept the award. When speaking with CDN at the event, Hupp accredited his team for continuing to gather more customers and gain market share from the competition. “Our team has been really successful at providing a value to customers that they like,” he said.
In 2016, CDW Canada became a Dell Canada Shining Start – an award given to a new member of the Dell channel partner family that has demonstrated excellence and competencies in all of the Dell enterprise, client, endpoint management, and network security areas. The company also raised thousands of dollars for The Hospital for Sick Children through the Children’s Miracle Network and donated more than 130 teddy beards to this cause.
Hupp praised the work ethic at CDW Canada when looking back at the successes the company has had in the past. “We have a fantastic work ethic at CDW Canada, and that work ethic needs to continue in 2017 and beyond,” said Hupp. “We believe that we have the people to do that.”
