Avnet Technology Solutions and Syncsort, an extreme performance data integration and data protection software vendor, have signed a distribution agreement together.
Under the new agreement, Avnet Technology Solutions’ network of NetApp reseller partners will be able to offer Syncsort’s integrated backup capabilites together with storage solutions from NetApp.
The joint Syncsort and NetApp offering is now available through Avnet Technology Solutions. The offering is said to reduce backup time and impact by 90 per cent and also offers comprehensive disaster recovery capabilities.
Gavin Miller, vice-president and general manager of Technology Infrastructure Solutions for Avnet Technology Solutions in the Americas, outlines the benefits of the new distribution agreement.
“This distribution agreement with Syncsort provides our reseller partners with another great offering they can use to more effectively and profitably address their customers’ greatest data protection challenges for virtualized environments,” Miller said. “Through the combination of Syncsort BEX and NetApp storage, our partners will also be able to identify new opportunities and accelerate their sales cycles.”
