LibreStream Technologies, Inc. has entered into an OEM agreement with Tandberg for the company’s n_sight Mobile Video Collaboration System. Tandberg will be offering the system to the market as the Tandberg FieldView Mobile Video Collaboration System. The two companies have also agreed to cooperate at an engineering level to ensure interoperability between FieldView and other standards-based videoconferencing systems from Tandberg.
LibreStream’s product is a new collaboration tool that extends the reach of video out to the field. The hand held device features include WiFi enabled wireless mobility, two-way voice, high-resolution streaming video with still image capture, on-screen telestration (drawing), and remote control.
Kerry Thacher, LibreStream’s founder and CEO, said the company saw the need to mobilize video communications in the workplace, and to provide collaboration tools to drive additional value into the mobile video paradigm.
Tandberg’s John Paul Williams, the global business development manager, manufacturing, said he believes that tremendous value can be unlocked by embedding video into work processes across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, repair and service, construction, and healthcare.
