Tech Data adds NAS and video solutions from Taiwanese vendor

Tech Data has announced it is adding QNAP Inc’s line of products to its offerings.

QNAP, headquartered in Taiwan, brings network attached storage (NAS) and network video recorder applications to the distributor.

These products will fall under Tech Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) division.

QNAP NAS solution comes with additional features including surveillance (video management software included), virtualization support includes, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer, 10GbE ready, supports third party public cloud storage services as backup destination, file sharing protocols, digital signage, and IoT applications.

QNAP, which was founded in 2004, has offices in the U.S., UK, Europe, Asia and more.

“Their comprehensive NAS and NVR products will enable solution providers with more opportunities for their end customers seeking data centre, virtualization, backup, IP surveillance solutions and more.,” Paul Wilkinson,  director of product management at Tech Data Canada said in a statement. “Canadian solution providers will also take advantage of good margin opportunities, demo discounts, deal registration, marketing kits, highly qualified support team and their local RMA centre.”
