Tech Data Canada has appointed Oliver Voss to the position of field sales specialist for the Canadian branch of its SMB focused TechSelect program.
In his new role, Voss will work closely with reseller and solution-provider partners as a dedicated field resource responsible for growing the TechSelect community and fostering ongoing relationships with its current membership.
Voss joined Tech Data in 1995 and has held several positions, including Cisco business development manager and, most recently, manager of poduct mrketing for Tech Data’s systems business.
Frank Haid, vice president, sales, Tech Data Canada, said the company is fortunate to have Voss as the new TechSelect field specialist, given his ability to balance vendor and reseller perspectives, based on his well-rounded prior experience.
Voss will be stationed in Tech Data Canada headquarters in Mississauga, Ont., but over the coming months will dedicate much of his time to meeting with TechSelect partners across the country.
He will report to Ed Galasso, director of field sales for TechSelect.
In his new role, Voss will take on the tasks of working with the program’s members to help them achieve their business development goals, helping sponsoring vendors develop member-specific business plans, enable track certification, resolve issues and mine for business opportunities. He will continue to recruit active participants that will add value and contribute to the ongoing TechSelect conversation, committing themselves to helping develop and foster better working relationships.
